Theory of Operation
These vials operate in the same way as conventional spirit level
vials, the main difference being that the position of the bubble
is detected opto-electronically rather than by the eye of the user.
As the bubble position changes, the movement can be measured and used to
provide information of level and angle to the controlling system. This
technology is now widely used in a variety of applications, and

Manufacturing and Quality Control
We specialise in the design and production of vials suitable for
opto-electronic bubble position sensing. We have more
experience of these systems than any other sensor manufacturer
in the world today. As a result of extensive
research and development we have created an entirely new
production process for these vials. We guarantee
quality and long term performance, and it is this which sets us apart from other

result of a carefully monitored production process, and a high
level of in-process and final inspection. Although these
vials are similar in appearance to normal spirit level vials,
the quality needs to be much higher because the bubble position
can be detected more precisely electronically than is possible
by eye. The accuracy and measurement range will depend on the
of the vial, and we can recommend a suitable sensitivity based
on your application. Because
of the performance requirements, the inside surface of the vial
must have a high precision and ultra clean finish.
To achieve this, we manufacture in a clean air environment and have implemented
two separate proprietary cleaning processes to our manufacturing line.
