Responsibilities and Duties 

As a manufacturing business in Croydon we are looking to employee someone who is passionate about electronics and wanting to learn in an engineering company as part of our Electronics department as an electronics technician. Within this role we will provide full training to carry out an array of electronics processes to build our precision angle measuring products.

If not already experienced you will be trained in our processes of:

Cable preparation
Mechanical assembly of PCB, cables and lids to housing
Programming of PBC’s
Calibration of products
Inspection of products through the process
Using CO2 Lasers to engrave and cut materials
Understanding angle and sensitivity measurements

You should be able to read engineering drawings and have proficient Maths knowledge to carry out the regular day to day duties for this position. Having a methodical and organised approach to work is essential, as you will be expected to organise your daily scheduled work and communicate clearly with other team members.

You will be trained on a flexible day shift hours and once competent will progress onto either an early (6am-2pm) or late (2pm-10pm) shift hours.

Qualifications and Skills 

To be considered, you must have the following skills and experience:

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (Grade C or above)
Minimum two years’ experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice, with knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Good House-Keeping – advantageous
Ability to work in a team and individually
