What’s 45 x 36?  If I have 37 parts per tray and I need to despatch is 629 parts how many trays do I need?  If you can work these out without a calculator, would be described as reliable and organised with great attention to detail with the ability to work at a fast pace we could have a great new opportunity for you.

We are an established manufacturing company with realistic but ambitious plans for growth and we are now looking for an experienced Goods Inwards Assistant to join our stores team.

You will be a proactive member of the stores team, working to tight and often demanding deadlines. You will be responsible for unpacking goods received from suppliers and subcontractors, completing goods received notes to update computerised stock records and completing import shipping paperwork.  You will label goods correctly with part numbers and expiry date labels and put stock away in the correct location as defined by the stock management system- ensuring locations are updated as required.  Liaising with department supervisors, assisting with deliveries from the roadside and kitting of components ready for assembly as well as carrying out regular stock takes are all part of the job.

This role supports other stores and despatch personnel and therefore you must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in – a real team player but who has the ability to work effectively independently too.

To be successful you must meet the following essential criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in the manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials and kitting
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Programs
  • GCSE in Maths and English at c or above (or equivalent)

An understanding of good manufacturing practice, with knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing and Good Housekeeping would be advantageous but not essential because with a good attitude and the willingness to learn we can teach you this side.

We are looking for candidates who are able to lift up to 20kg, have excellent problem solving skills, able to work to a high output level and who thrive in a close know team, are passionate about providing a great service and who are committed to being part of a culture that makes the company a place where people want to work, and are encouraged to reach their full potential.

In return we will offer you a permanent role, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish time, a competitive salary, the option to join the bi-annual bonus scheme (subject to eligibility) and 32 days holiday including bank and public holidays.

If you are looking for a new challenge in a varied role and you think you have applicable experience, this is a superb opportunity to develop your career so get in touch today.  Please send us your CV and a covering letter stating how you meet the essential criteria to hr@leveldevelopments.com

Please do not apply if you have previously been unsuccessful.  Please be aware we will only contact you if your application is successful.  If you haven’t heard from us within 2 weeks your application has been unsuccessful.
