About the Company

Level Developments is a world leader in the design and manufacture of precision measuring sensors. We undertake the full design and manufacturing process at our business units in Croydon, and we sell our products across the world. The role

We are looking to employee someone with engineering knowledge and practical skills for our Assembly department. You will need to have the ability to perform a wide range of manual, semi-automated and automated assembly operations including:

  • Record production information in the production database.
  • Maintain quality standards by conducting first-piece and in-process inspection.
  • Maintain production quality by strictly following policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an organised work area.
  • Ensure all works carried out in line with our health and safety policy for yourself and others.
  • Take part and contribute to regular team meetings.
  • Make suggestions for improvements and be involved in their implementation.

If not already experienced, you will be trained in our processes of:

  • Screen printing, pad printing on glass and anodised materials.
  • Adhesive bonding of plastic components.
  • Plaster work and setting circular levels.
  • Mechanical assembly and setting of precision levels.
  • Inspection of products through the process.
  • Using CO2 and fibre Lasers to engrave and cut material.
  • Understanding angle and sensitivity measurements

 Skills required

You should be able to:

  • Read engineering drawings and technical manufacturing instructions.
  • Have a methodical and organised approach to work.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a high level of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Work well in a team and individually.
  • Demonstrate practical skills with attention to detail.


To be considered, you should have the following:

  • A qualification in a relevant engineering subject (d)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environment (d)
  • PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word (e)
  • Experience with CAD software(d)
