Augers and pile drivers have the same general requirement, to keep the head vertical so that the pile is properly installed and provide the structural support required from it. Vertical Alignment

Most piles or foundation bore holes need to be drilled vertically. Often the machine and boom carrying the Auger will not be level, so there is some control required to ensure it is vertical prior to drilling, and that it remains vertical during drilling or piling. We have a range of sensors that can be used to measure this, and also cab mounted display systems to help the operator control the process. The electronic sensors can also interface with the machines control system to enable automated adjustment. We have a range of tough and reliable products that can meet the needs of this application.

Angular Alignment and GNSS Compensation

Some foundations are installed at a specific angles to take loads in directions other than the vertical. In this case it is necessary to know the pitch and roll angle of the head of the machine so the drilling angle can be properly set and controlled. Providing information about the angle of the head to the machine control system it is also possible to calculate the location of the head in the ground relative to the GNSS position of the cab mounted receiver. We have a range of tough and reliable sensors and displays that can be used in this application, and can provide customised and integrated solutions where required.
